Lifestyle Matters

Pinamonti Physical Therapy (PPT) was founded in April of 2004 with the vision of providing        cutting edge Physical Therapy services for clients in Pittsburg and the surrounding communities.  As we have grown, we began to realize just how reactive our healthcare industry has become.

Many questions surfaced: Why do we primarily seek medical advice when we are sick or in pain?  Why are we so overweight in this country in relation to other countries around the world? Why are healthcare costs so high and always the topic of debate? Most importantly, How can we help improve lifestyles in our community in a way that fosters change in our mindset from the reactive approach, to one of a proactive wellness/lifestyle?

Those questions and wanting to see a healthier community led us on our path to bring Pinamonti Wellness Center to fruition.  Our path has been a long one!  Physical Therapy continues to be our main driving force and always will.  However, in order for our community to be truly healthy we must focus on the underlying cause of our problems.   Ourselves!

What do you eat on a regular basis?  How consistent are you with exercising?  When was the last time you had your blood work done just to see how you are doing?   When was the last time you went to your Doctor or Healthcare practitioner for a Wellness Check?

We are all extremely busy.  We are connected every minute of the day, which can be great, but also can be detrimental to our health and well being.  We need to Move More.  One of the tag lines that has stuck with me over the years has been, Movement is Life!  In reality, if you are not continually moving, you are dying!  In order for us to improve our health we need to push ourselves!  Push yourself and be uncomfortable.  Move more today than you did yesterday.  Push ourselves to eat a little cleaner than we did yesterday,  motivate a family member or colleague to try a new fitness class this week.  Go for a walk on you break instead of smoke or eat a donut.  You have all heard it before and probably have done it for a while, but what happened?  Let us help you stay healthy through physical therapy, wellness, and lifestyle changes.  We want you to be a part of our wellness community.   Your health matters!

Movement is Life.
