The Key to Improved Health


Daily Choices!  That’s it!  You can stop reading.  Previous Blogs discussed our certain “Habits” and we are guilty of searching for the “Secret Ingredient” and that we all need to “Move” more because of our comfortable lives and we can’t be uncomfortable.   Our daily choices are the key to improving our health and wellness.  Although the choices we make may seem trivial, or feel like they do not matter.  Every choice can and usually does have an impact on our health over time.  The confusing part about all this concerns what choices?  Choices concerning what to eat and choices concerning how to exercise are the most important.  If exercise could be placed in pill form, it would be the highest prescribed medication in the history of the world.  A choice to exercise daily will benefit you more than you may realize.  The most difficult part of exercise actually has to do with starting!  Most don’t really know how or when to start.   Our medical profession has trained us to rely on medication to cure our ailments.   However, we have expectations now that a pill fixes everything, much like we feel wearing the latest smart watch makes us fit.   Our technology makes us feel great for wearing it as part of our attire, but doesn’t make us sweat or strain our muscles.  We have all become too comfortable and that is where the problem lies.  In order to improve our health and wellness we must experience being uncomfortable.  Eat less junk food, sweat more, run more, get outside when it’s hot or cold more, and lift more!  Make daily choices to get comfortable being uncomfortable if you want to improve your health.   This takes discipline and daily choices.  Make the touch choices and improve your health.
